Using a company or inspector recommended by a salesperson
Almost every salesperson wants you to use a poor inspector. Why?
Good inspectors may find enough "problems" that can complicate or even "Kill The Deal"!!
Real estate salespersons have only one goal -- Collect the very large commission. ( A good Home Inspector can jeopardize that goal )
Have you heard any of these statements from your salesperson?
You should only spend $200 to $300 for an inspection. (This steers you to the low end inspectors)
I know someone who is very good. (Good for who--You or the salesperson?)
I don't like him, he's a troublemaker etc. (Trouble often means -- finding defects and complicating the sale.)
I am recommending a good inspector because I want to build a longterm relationship with you. (Baloney!! Longterm relationships don't earn commissions but "easy" inspections do.)
